Last month, just prior to the outbreak of nationwide protests against the Islamist fascism rule in Iran, Vida claimed up a utility box on a busy Tehran street and made history.

Vida Movahedi had tied her mandatory force Hijab to a stick, silently protesting the misogynistic gender apartheid laws, which the mandatory forced hijab is its most visible symbol.

Vida has touched a raw nerve in Iran. There are stream of other women, mostly young, and few men too, who have bravely copied her initiative.

Of course the unreformable, expansionist and warmongering Islamist fascists have arrested some, one of them, Narges, who climbed atop the very same platform where Vida stood, is currently in captivity with a hefty half billion bail.

Published pictures on the net shows this silent protest has spread to other parts of the country.

Lets hope  genuine feminists in democracies will take notice and do all that they should do for their sisters trying to emancipate themselves.

Airtight sanctions, a la against the despicable South Africaapartheid, works. U.S. lawmakers get to it.
