I recently noticed that a certain “professor” had posted a poem on his [now] favorite site, Iranian.com. That inspired me, as an aspiring poet, to come up with a little poem myself, and to dedicate it to you friends on Iroon.com. As you all know, I have posted excerpts of my book of poetry before, and as an Iranian, I just cannot help it. I am a poet at heart. This is another offering. So, enjoy.

May is the beginning of warmth

Yellow is the sunlight

Morning dew on the grass

Over and over stretched

Rain drops on flower petals

Never felt lonely

Inside my lonely abode

Never felt sad

Gnawing at my sorrows

Daylight brings joy

Under the shade of an apple tree

Morning of joy

Pearls of happiness
