Thus Spoke the Poet

“One who is not in conversation with oneself
Cannot hear the voices of others.”
Thus spoke the poet
Who was walking by the river
And the roar of airplanes
Was not letting him hear
The whisper of the water.

نمی‌تواند صدای دیگران را بشنود."

که از کرانه‌ی رود می‌رفت
و غرشِ هواپیماها نمی‌گذاشت
پچپچه‌ی آب را بشنود.
