Hilarious. But not Art.
Sad that in order to photograph a 'Nude", which is the consummate form of free expression, Farnaz had to still give in and surrender, and conform to a stupid Man's rule, and willingly choose to drape the subject in a chador.
Her choice, a see-through chador, turns the focus away from the greater message, and instead gives up, and resorts to the cheap exploitation of the base and vulgar side of the Nude.
Which only ends up being really bad amateur pseudo-fetish erotica.
Sad that we are this conflicted, that we can't even express true emotions, without conforming to the Islamic Republic's mind-control, and granite grip over our souls.
Disappointing.
Tasbihgoo is master storyteller. Her portfolio is a collection of stark human experiences. No other artist has captured examples of shaming, Iranian-style, as Tasbihgoo has in "Blame or Shame" while in "The Trapped" she contrasts Iranian women's true inner self with the hard cultural (hijab) and environmental (political, social and economic desolation) realities that stunt her growth. Afarin!
