NASRIN Film
June 13, 2021 marked the three-year anniversary of the arrest and imprisonment of Iranian human rights attorney Nasrin Sotoudeh. For courageously defending the rights of women, children, religious minorities, journalists, artists, and those facing the death penalty, Nasrin has been sentenced to decades in prison. A mother of two children, Nasrin was also imprisoned from 2010 - 2013. The producers of the documentary NASRIN (www.nasrinfilm.com), in cooperation with artists, activists, and human rights organizations have come together to present a series of short videos that pay tribute to Nasrin and call for the release all political prisoners in Iran and around the world.
This video features the comedian and actor Maz Jobrani.
Our gratitude to Mr Jobrani, who has been an enthusiastic and active supporter of our film over the past year, and to the many other renowned individuals and organizations who support Nasrin Sotoudeh and her cause.
My hat off to Miss. Sotoudeh for fighting the injustice of the IR regime and risking her life and her livelihood only to defending Iranians. She is an inspiration.
Thank you Maz Jorbrani for speaking and your effort to bring people together in her support.
Nasrin Sootodeh is a great lady with lion heart. A lady who bravely stood against tyrrany of Ayatollahs in Iran.
We should NOT forget that outside establishements such as Republicans in America and Israel have always been on the side of oppressed Iranians. Republicans in America and Israel fully supported Iranian freedom fighters such as Nasrin Sotoodeh.
On the other hand, we should NOT forget that democrats such as Obama took side with Ayatollahs during uprising of Iranians in June 2009.
Obama closed his eyes on brave Iranian woman Neda Agha Sultan, who dramatically assassinated by Islamic thugs. Democrat Obama avoided to call Neda Agha Sultan's name in public.
