Amnesty International reports that at least 106 people have been killed in a government crackdown on protests in Iran. But the real death toll could be much higher. The unrest erupted last Friday after hikes in fuel prices. Authorities responded by shutting down the internet and, according to Amnesty, harsh security tactics against protesters including live fire, snipers firing into crowds from rooftops and, in one case, from a helicopter. Supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has described the protests as a "security matter."
