The sanctions are a reaction by the US to Iran's nuclear program as well as their ongoing support for terrorism. 2 things that are indisputable, and directly under Iran's control. In other words it is in Iran's hands to lift the US sanctions of prohibiting US goods to go to Iran.

If you do something that someone does not like, it is their perogative to not do business with you. The US is simply exercising the perogative, "We reserve the right to refuse service to anybody."

It seems to me, that if the sanctions are so "biting", the government of Iran has 2 decisions to make. Stop supporting terrorism, and stop developing nuclear weapons. Apparently if thye do these 2 small things, everything would be rosy No?

Except the prerogative is not always theirs.

What would it happen if the Arab world decided not to produce or sell oil any more, their prerogative right? Wrong?
