Except for political purposes, I don't believe there's any other use for such categorizations.
A Monarchist ... Period.
PS: Oh and Please don't add "democrat' or 'secular' or any other 'fashionable' adjective to my beliefs ...
There are liberal and conservative monarchs too. Examples: Spain vs. Saudi Arabia
I'll make it simple for you ... I'm an Absolute Monarchist ...
Unlike "Shahrvand Reza" I am Not looking for role models elsewhere !
shah's Lesson on democracy
So, you'll go with whatever a monarch says? What if it's King Salman of SA? You'll go along with him banning women from driving, voting, and leaving the house without a male guardian?
The monarch of my choice Yes
He can't be King Salman given that he is not Iranian
As for Iranian women ... monarchs never enslaved them ...
Iran Revolution 1979 ...Woman chanting for Shah ..NOT KHOMEINI
for the most part they enslaved themselves under the regime they advocated after protesting against the very monarch who gave them their rights:
Iranian Women Protest Against Islamic Law
I don't know....I much rather voice my opinions and try to change things through a representative system. I don't like to blindly follow orders from amyone, even if it's a monarch that I like.
Being a monarchist is not a political inclination.
Dear Ex_CoP and AO jaan, I agree with you.
All of the democratic constituional monarchies (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, UK, Spain, Japan) have political parties of various inclinations (e.g. Conservative, Labor, Social Democrat, Christian Democrat, Liberal Democrat, etc).
None of the current absolute monarchies (e.g. Saudi Arabia and the other Persian Gulf sheikhdoms, emirates, kingdoms, sultanates, etc) have meaningful political parties.
Politically? Hezbe Baad.
No, in reality I would go with the Shah's vision for the Iran he wanted to see emerge in the 1980's. A democratic constitutional monarchy with a strong social safety net for the poor, with progressive environmental protections and allied with the other nations on the arab periphery, such as Israel and to a lesser extent Turkey and Egypt.
*Progressive Nationalism- the closest term I can find to describe this scenario*
Being a Monarchist IS a Political inclination ...
