What a sorry state we are in. Up to this moment 50% of those who cared to vote, opted for yes option. You are asking for a foreign government to come and INVADE your country!! Don't give me the BS that we are under occupation by foreigners as it stands, WE ARE NOT. As usual we are looking for a savior without lifting a finger on our own. You guys are no different than the ones who believe in Imam Zaman, in your case Imam Zaman is the good old U.S. of A.
No worries. No one is going to invade anybody. The Republic of Mayhem is the regional scarecrow. It makes the sheet wearers in the area buy lots of weapons out of the fear that the alliance of reesh-o pshm will one day be powerful enough to make them all convert to Shia'ism......
Thank you Kamal, it is called extrime hate.
They are happy to see their country to be invaded BUT when IRI representatives are outside Iran never go out to face them to express themselves.
I agree with Ex_Cop too. This government is prefered to the previous one.
Germans were librerated from Naziz by the might oif US Army and not a bunch of Hitler loving/Hitler financed lobbyists setting shops in washington DC pretending to represent "german niac" :)
There is no appetite for war. Two wars in Afghnistan and Iraq has worned out the U.S forces, costed tons of money, exhuasted the population who are more concerned about economey than any thing else. There is also a limit to a U.S power (we saw inaction in Syria and Ukraine).
Also Ex_cop is right on the money on this issue! Why would you want to kill a goos that lays a golden egg? Just imagine how much money have been looted from Iran since 1979 and smoke will come out of your ears! where do you suppose the looted money went to.................
To Ex_Cop and MRX, with all due respect, I don’t buy this analogy. Threat of war is real. U.S. has to impose its hegemony in the area in order to control the most vital source of energy or Chinese and Russian trains will pass it by. When the time comes, all these big firms who have benefited from tax breaks for decades, have to chip in to rescue the system. As they did during 70 years of fighting Communism. All of the governments south of Persian Gulf are just the pawns that can be eliminated once their usage date expires.
Kamalf, you do realize that in few years U.S is going to produce more gas and oil than Saudi Arabia produces? As for Russians they have more gas and oil than all opec put together , so it's only chinese that are short of oil and gas and their economey is now mixed in too deep with u.S economey for either side to rock the boat. As for countries south of Persian gulf (with an excpetion of saudi) the amount of oil they produce is insigificant to change any thing.
so why would any one want to kill the goos the lays a golden egg? All the money that is looted from Iran day in day out, flows to UAE and subsequently ends up in Europe and U.S banks , seems like a very lucretive enterprise to me!
Dear MRX, that is true but cost of extraction for both U.S. and Russia is much higher than the oil extracted from the Middle East. Saudis are seeing the writing on the wall, hence the reason for them to meddle in internal affairs of Syria, Egypt, Afghanistan and elsewhere. As you know the new world order doctrine according to at least some of the real decision makers in the U.S. is to keep U.S. as the only superpower in the world at any cost. And again as you know the military spending of U.S. is costlier than all the other major economic powers combined. Only a fool will pay that high of a price without intending to use it at the opportune time. This game of cat and mouse will eventually come to an end. Why just take the eggs when you can own the goose?
US military spending is decreasing and will decrease more in coming years, whereas that of China and Russia is rising. Military spending comprises 4.2% of US GDP, which doesn't even place it in the Top 10 among countries as a percent of GDP (and this will decrease further over the next few years to about 2.5%).
Dear Amir, please see below link, with the exception of Israel and a few countries south of Persian Gulf almost every other country's military spending is somewhere between 1 to 5 percent of their GDP. So it is fair to say that using GDP as a measuring stick is not a proper indicator of what the truth is.Besides the facts that I presented in my previous comment I wish to add that there is no doubt that U.S. is playing the role of policing the whole earth. No other country has even a tenth of military bases that U.S. owns OUTSIDE OF ITS BORDERS. Since the end of Vietnam war 39 years ago there has been at least 10 major military operations around the world with direct U.S. involvement. Ask any of your central Americans friends and they will tell you how U.S. practically is ruling almost the whole region and owns most of their major industries.
