This yet again highlights the hypocrisy that is organized religion. 

I was looking for a home to buy, in a North American city. My Indian realtor told me I should avoid Northeastern part of the city. I asked why. And he said, Indians live there.  I laughed and said, I have nothing against Indians. He said, it’s not you. It’s them. They wouldn’t want you to live there.

Here’s my question: What kind of treligion do Indians have?

Two years later, I was in a different North American city talking to a realtor. A white man. I asked him about the city where his office was located. He said, “You can’t live here. Indians live here.” And he continued, nine Indian guys were working for him and he had a female Indian lawyer. Four white women also worked in his office. Then he told me the following story about his female Indian lawyer. 

He said, she married a white man against her parents’ will. He said, the community ostracized her. Nobody talked to her. And her telatives beat her up. She eventually ended up getting a divorce. 

For almost four decades, I have been living in the most xenophobic country in the world. And I tell you, except for a very small minority, these people adhere to no religions, whatsoever. And are godless. 

Provided those foreigners don't want to kick you out of your land!

Probelms is that it is the humans who wrote these so called holy scriptures in an attempt to "correct" themselves........... and still, the very self-proclaimed rightous people are those who are most hypocritcal. AND - the whole point of posting this quote.

I have no idea what you mean by “human nature.”  I do not subscribe to such nonsensical ideas as “human nature.” What you  claim to be “human nature” is what I would call something else. But that’s something you seem to have difficulty to grasp. 

Again, there’s no such thing as universal human nature. 

'human nature' is a derivative of religious belief.

Anyhow Israel is a welcome anomaly in the region. Of-course they see it as a rightful historical correction since the Jewish people were kicked out of their land. But no matter how you see it, for progressivists in the region, this is a welcome anomaly regardless.

Gr, what's your problem? Trying to have a civil discussion here. Human nature is a proven scientific fact and has nothing to do with religious bullshit or made-up scripture be it in Pahlavi, Latin, Hebrew or Arabic.

BTW, I have purchased few properties here in North America and have never encountered anything close to your experince. You must have been looking down in the South...or Mid-West!

But back to discussion......in this case, if not human nature, then what's your "something else"??? I didn't write the quote you know and your opinion is one I am not obligated to agree with, and the whole idea behind sharing thoughts and not expecting someone to attack it - It's called tolerance. You are a very confused individual. Analogies are for clarification and not confrontation. Since I don’t know you, I can only deal with what you write. And from  what I see, you seem to have difficulty understanding simple concepts. In order to have a discussion you need to have a clear understanding of what is being said. You keep throwing the expression,  “human nature” around as an absolute idea. “Human nature” as such does not exist. It is the layman’s term/euphemism for much broader concepts that she/he is incapable of grasping. 

Analogies must make a point - yours do nothing other than pointing out the very thing you dispute!

Instead of personal attacks, why don't you bring me out of my confusion and enlighten me with an explanation of what this "something else" might be, this "much broader concept" ...apparently, you are the authority in human relations and behavior?............ Bottom line - Humans are bound by: Nature and Nurture. What and how our genes (product of several million years of evolution) are passed and how we are affected by where we are born, the belief systems we are exposed to and what we learn (or don't learn) as we progress in life.

I think you are wasting your own time by not trying to understand. Show what I have written to a few intelligent persons and ask them if they understand it or not.
