Dear Benross, I'm no expert in Persian literature but I'm pretty sure that Sharang means Poison. Also I'm aware that you are just copy/pasting the title from Youtube, hence no fault of yours. Pretty cool music nevertheless. Cheers.
It makes sense. Any music is poison in Islam! But you are right it was posted that way by someone who is not Iranian. But I suspect he had some basis to do that.
In my Kalhor album (Night Silence Desert) which is published in English, the piece is called Festive Occasion. But I suspect Sharang is something that Kalhor used frequently back then.
