As the potential for a highly destructive war with Iran continues to increase, we believe that U.S. national interests are best served by prioritizing diplomacy and supporting the democratic aspirations of the Iranian people. Before taking any sort of military action, we should exhaust all possible diplomatic options.

A bipartisan amendment to the must-pass 2020 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) was introduced in the House that would prohibit funding for U.S. military action against Iran unless Congress has declared war or enacted another specific statutory authorization. The amendment is an important safeguard against any unilateral action by the Administration to go to war with Iran. Help us prevent unconstitutional war: tell your members of Congress to support Rep. Ro Khanna and Rep. Matt Gaetz's amendment to the NDAA before the vote this week!
