AO, over at the other website, the well-read "contributors", like Al-BaWafa (who literally cannot distinguish "fate" from "faith") and "Tehrooni" are denouncing Rushdie as a "mediocre" writer. I have no doubt these highly literate folks have actually read any of Rushdie's novels.

I know dear Amir....as if even bad writers deserve to be put to death. But then again, those losers, especially Al-Bavafa Al-Felestini will say anything---regardless of its absurdity--so that IR can survive another day.

Dear AO:

1) They don't understand the concepts of freedoms of conscience, speech, and pen

2) They like to blame the victim, and Rushdie is a victim in this case

3) Rushdie is a very solid prose writer, His "Midnight's Children", in particular, is considered one of the "great" novels in the English language written since 1980

The reason for this thugish behavior is tat they have gotten away with it for 37 years. Blame everyone else (especially if that everyone is a Jew), never take responsibility, and create conspiracy theories. 

I bet Al-BaWaFa knows the difference among Schweppes bottle, Coke bottle, and Pepsi bottle!
