Ben & Jerry's new vegan ice cream in Chocolate Fudge Brownie.

Ben & Jerry’s is launching four non-dairy ice cream flavors later this month and they taste just like the real stuff.

After a little over two years in the making, the company developed a sweet almond milk base when coconut products and soy milk didn’t satisfy in taste or texture.

“The goal was to make it look and taste like our regular ice cream,” Ben & Jerry’s food scientist Kirsten Schimoler told the Daily News.

So the Vermont-based sweet shop churned out non-dairy versions of its signature best sellers: Chunky Monkey — banana with fudge chunks and walnuts — and Chocolate Fudge Brownie, with brownies sourced from Greyston Bakery in Yonkers.
