What's it with the duality of the Iranian psyche or persona? The Iranian cultural duality of beleiving in one thing and saying or doing the opposite manifests itself in all aspects of their lives. Pretending to be full while you are starved to death in a party, portraying yourself to be a religious person in public while having sex with a monkey behind closed doors, expressing love and affections to your friends while backstabbing them when they turn around,....., opposing IRI and yet rooting for the nuke deal to extend its life are some of the examples of the duality disease Iranians have been suffering from over the centuries! In Iranian lingo, yes means no and no means yes! I say yes to nuke deal and IRI must not go preferably peacefully or by no force!
Thanks Dear hamal for this blog.
You seem to be one of the few on this site who has picked up on prcise motivation behind this deal and what drives it: Money.
And this is how it works: Oil out of Iran, manufactured goods into Iran purchased with oil revenue , possibly supplemented with cheap iranian labor. This means lots of money for a few in Iran and west and status quoe of unemployment and poverty for the vast majority of Iranians, all of which guaranteed by a brutal fascist dictatorship led by God's own representative on earth, which answers slightest signs of opposition with jail, torture, rape and public execution whilst the media in west is looking the other way...........
I don't know if this deal one way or another impacts human rights in Iran. I mean since 1979 we have had human right violations day by day by this regime. Deal or no deal, roaches in charge will continue looting, killing and raping.
This deal is good for some larger compaines (Boeing, dupont, GM,etc) who will be able to sell their stuff and make money that is about it!
Actually, American companies are still banned from doing business with the mullahs unless and until that ban is lisfted (perhaps following the deal approval).
So, for now it is the European companies who'll benefit and most are oil companies such as Total, BP, etc.
The regime will try - as it has for 37 years, to keep "Western Influence" from affecting their divine values (pun heavily intended) and their people by opening their doors to the west.
Human right abuse in Iran was initiated by U.S./Brits/French when they decided to use Shah's "human rights" as an excuse to start picking on him and get the "revolution rolling" even though relative to IRI or anyone else in that whole part of the world Shah was Mother Teresa. IRI just gladly took the handoff from western masters so no reason for any change in human or any other rights as long as they play the game.
