Do you remember Mohammed Bouazizi? He was the young Tunisian fruit vendor who, in desperation to his only way to earn a living for his family being taken away by the officials, set himself ablaze and triggered a wave of revolutions in many despotically run countries.

Now meet Bouazizi’s counterpart in Iran. Yesterday in Khoramshahr, a port city in the oil rich province of Khuzestan, in desperation to his only way to earn a living for his family being taken away by the officials, a young fruit seller, Yunis Asakereh set himself ablaze.

Lets see what the reaction of the mass media, lefties and other giddy with the prospect of Obama cutting a nuke deal with the Islamist fascists –“reformers” and all- will be, lets see.

Above is from a blog entry on March 15th of this year. As expected, mass media, lefties and others too giddy with the prospect of Obama cutting a nuke deal with the Islamist fascists –“reformers” and all- did not care to divert their gaze, even momentarily, to a human rights issue in Iran.

Well,  peaceniks can rest now, today, on the second day of spring and Persian New Year, Yunis Asakereh, the young fruit vendor, passed away from his injuries.

Due to financial problems, his family could not afford the exorbitant flight fee demanded, and had to send him to Tehran in an ambulance which took many many long hours, delaying his treatment and speeding up his death.

Sanction works, U.S. Senate, get to it.
