Presented for your consideration is a newspaper article--from the aptly named Islamic Republic newspaper-- from the year after the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran in 1979. The title of the article is self-explanatory.  But for those who cannot read Persian, it says "nuclear power plants: blatant treachery against our people."

It follows then that all those who advocate for nuclear power and claim that nuclear energy is our “absolute right” are not only anti-Iran traitors, but they are also traitors to the memory of the great Imam Rouhollah Al-Mousavi Al-Khomeini who detested that project.  Now, last I checked Iran’s laws, committing all the aforementioned crimes makes one guilty of being “corrupt on earth” and subject to the death penalty, no? If that’s the case, let’s start getting the cranes ready for some public hangings—starting with the dear / supreme leader himself!
