"24 April 73 Jahonshah hit his elbow on the chair. He cried. Then he laughed & laughed. We asked him why he was laughing. He said so that I'll stop crying. Otherwise I'll cry too long!"

That's from a page I found in my mother's diary. I was 11 at the time.

I've noticed that I do laugh when people talk about tragic and sad situations. I suppose that's my defense mechanism. Not taking anything too seriously -- most of the time. There are times that I do take things way to seriously and that's when I get into trouble.
