Too many Iranians in the stands. How did they get to Saudi? Saudis don't issue visas or resident permits for Iranians--and never give citizenship. Very strange.
AO,
Since Iran and Saudi Arabia broke their diplomatic relationships, they don’t travel to each other’s country (with the exception of Haj) and their matches are played in the 3rd countries. Persepolis played its home game in Muscat, Oman and Al-Ahly played its home match in Abu-Dhabi.
Now it turns out that there are not many Iranians in Muscat, but many Saudis. So the home match for Persepolis took place in front of thousands of Saudis. But the home match for Al-Ahli was played in front of many cheering Iranians who live in the UAE.
So as you can see, in the Middle East, everything is upside down!
Ah..ok. So it was in Abu Dhabi. That makes sense. I thought it was in SA
Good results but can some one explain to me what's with kneeling and touching the ground before getting on the field?
The second penalty was as clear a red card as you see. Did he get one?
He got a yellow card.
