We take a spin around the must-see shows in the French capital's galleries and museums this summer. From the pensive pose of The Thinker to the romantic flourish of The Kiss, the sculptures of Auguste Rodin are instantly recognisable, iconic works. On the centenary of his death, the Grand Palais and the Musée Rodin are holding a joint exhibition displaying more than 200 of his sculptures.

Meanwhile, British artist David Hockney makes a splash in the French capital, with a retrospective that takes in more than six decades of the painter’s creative output.

We also take a look at Cézanne’s penchant for portraits at the Musée d’Orsay; and the Cité des Sciences provides some expert insight into the comic book universe of “Valérian and Laureline” and their time-travelling adventures.
