Please note that my question does not imply that they necessarily need your consent.
Filthy racism shrouded in misogynism..............Shame.....
What about "former" Tudehis and other such "revolutionaries"?
I would give my consent to my father/uncle/brother to marry Danish or Swedish women.
Faramaraz if your father/uncle/brother, Dane or Swedish wife has a nice looking sister by all means let me know!
And i would consent to Faramarz to give his consent to whatever he gives his consent to:)))
Gentlemen,
Your requests are noted and given the highest priority!
National or ethnic origin makes no difference. But why do you ask?
Dear Ari, I ask because a great number of us complain about racism, boast about being the first with declaration of human rights, etc. but do not hesitate in denegrating Afghans, Pakistanis, Arabs, or Africans.
It is very easy to not be a racist when you are not in contact with other races. An Iranian for example in Tehran might claim he is not racist. He might have never treated other ethnic groups badly but simply because there has been no contact and therefore no "opportunity." And I'd bet he would never let any of his immidiate family befriend any of the above mentioned etnicities let alone marry them.
And just see how many here even dislike the question itself. It's always hard to be confronted with one's inner beast.
Meybokhor
I don't mean to be jumping into the middle of a conversation between you and Arie...But one thing kinda caught my attention in your comments to him.
Granted that most of us iranians even hate the thought of having to communicate or contact and afgahni or pakistani or individuals of other races, But your Willingness to bet that any given iranian who may have never come in contact with people of other races, could harbor such feelings and that it Would automatically lead to him not allowing or approving the same behavior by his next of kin , would tantamount to racism ...You don't think there would be any exceptions?
And then you turn around and point the blaming finger on those who may not have liked the question??? oh dude...come on now.
There are always exceptions. That's what makes a bet exciting. There is always a chance of losing it.
As for the second part of your comment, I have never understood why people would dislike a question, be it mine or those of the other surveys. My conclusion is they don't like the question. Either that or they automatically dislike posts from people on their blacklist.
Dear Maybokhor
Eventhough I agree with your intention for creating this survey but I don't agree with your last comment. Some people gave you dislike because it is a very boring question and it is not to do with everyones inner beast. But don't worry I am sure you get a like from a Seyedeh very soon.
One ignores a boring post. Just like I ignore the last part of your comment.
Last summer I was at a family member's engagment party in LA and this summer I'm going to another family member's wedding, both have hooked up with Pakistanis. There's was a bit of tension at first, not knowing what to expect getting this close to families from another culture but the ice melts quickly. The head of of the Pakistani families, being more religious, requested no alcoholic drinks at the party. This turned out to be the biggest issue. In retaliation the Iranian women showed up in their skimpiest outfits, which led to some harumphing. Other than that, things went smoothly.
I've seen the same friction even in some Iranian weddings when two Iranians from different subcultures get married. Not racism, just unfamiliarity. Serious racism is institutionalized, as it was in the United States. Separate public facilities, laws against interracial marriage, etc. We don't have institutionlized racism in Iran. What we have for institutionalized social ills are obsessive gender segregation and religious persecution particluarly against Bahais.
The irresponsible racism and hatred encouraged by some diaspora Iranians against Muslim Arabs is poltically motivated. It's not part of the character of our culture.
I am glad I was not at that wedding. No drinks and skimpy outfits...
No, we don't have institutionalized racism in Iran but that is no consolation to the Afghans living there. Among the ethnic groups I have mentioned, they have received the worst treatment by us, and it still continues in the diaspora.
Many Iranians are cultural elitists, even towards thier host nations. The expression "Honar nazd Ira'anian ast o bas," is taken literaly by many and this belief has been a hindrance for the nation's developement in many areas.
Maybokhor
LOL.
Oh ok. That was a cop out, but i am sure to you, it sounded like a rather convincing one.
Stay safe.

In all seriousness, Your assumption here is what is needed to be addressed. You are making two very loaded statements/assumptions there: First, You think this is one big joke and think of it as a simple bet , so of course there is the chance that one would lose or win!!! that is so absurd.
Second, You are automatically making the conclusion that because someone in any part of iran has not had the chance to have some contact with someone from most Under-developed countries, therefore it is safe bet that they most likely act racist ,once they come across one, and, to make matters even worse, You are again betting that will even go a step further and express their dissatisfaction, and projecting that sentiment to others. Just exactly what are you basing that upon?
Do You see what i am getting at?:)
So, logically speaking, u should not act surprised when people dislike your questions bro, because they are subscribing to the same mentality, that you display.
Mr. Mey-Man -- I would not give consent on my relatives... but...I would offer consent on Akhoonds' wives, sisters, mothers, daughters, sons, brothers, fathers ...I mean the entire akhoond community to complete the organizational staff at the largest and biggest Brothel House in the world located in no other than the most popular place called Ghombol Azeem or Khomeini's Shrine!
Zendeh Bad Shahr'e No Akhoondha
meybokhor, why are you islamists so obsessed with people's mothers and sisters?
I wonder if an intense period of regular 9 to 5 job, and internet /social security benefits deprivation would cure the obsession?........
The site's cyber skunk has crawled out of its hole.
Why should I even need or have to give my consent? Assuming my Mother, Sister, daughter.... are over 18 years old legal age, they can decide for themselves. Stop being MARD SALAR and thinking the female need your permission to be able to do so something, like living their lives!
What I don’t give consent to is these RACIST thinkings!!! .... The same question is asked by other people about us "Eyanians", get it?!
@Khar: Did you read my first comment?
Manbarsooz aziz, I figured as much that this may not be your way of thinking, hopefully. My comments was toward the "67%" of respondents so far who have chosen the Racist/Sexist choice: NO. Is it that those 67% think they are better than others (Arabs, Afgans, Pakestanis.......)? perhaps it's time for them to come down form the mental toilet thrown that they are resting their laurels on and smell the coffee and realize the hard realities.
