Her father, I'm talking about Roxanne, was my prof. who taught a course about the UN... A fine, cultured man with good manners... The atmosphere in his classes was highly SAVAKed, of course, but still he was a fine man...
Amanpour does not rock the boat, because she has relatives in Iran. She does not want to take a chance of something wacky happening to them as a result of her coverage, nor does she want the regime to prevent her from traveling there. These are the reasons in my humble opponion.
