Dear B_o_B, I love KV’s humor. As for this quote, I’m not sure in what context it was used. Reading it as is gives an impression that somehow he thought living under a police state would stimulates the brain to produce great work and writers living in perfect freedom (an oxymoron) have nothing to say. Respectfully, I disagree.
