The White House’s decision on Saturday to scrap President Trump’s visit to a cemetery for fallen American soldiers due to weather irked more than a few observers, including those who have served their country in the military.

Trump, who is in France to commemorate the end, 100 years ago, of World War I, was scheduled to take a 30-minute helicopter ride from Paris to the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery and Memorial in Belleau, France. But a rainy forecast for the area made it too risky for him to safely fly there, the White House said a couple hours before the president was to arrive at the ceremony.

White House chief of staff John Kelly and Gen. Joseph Dunford, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, made the roughly 50-mile long trip to the cemetery in a small motorcade of vehicles, ABC News reported. The drive took about 90 minutes each way.

Separately, French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel traveled a similar distance by car to a World War I commemorative event in northern France, according to several media reports.

The weather was only an excuse.

According to sources close to the CIA, who asked to remain anonymous, the cancellation of President Trump’s presence had to do with an incident that took place the previous day when President Trump, The First Lady, President Macron and his wife went to the Eiffel Tower to check out the place. While at the tower, President Trump lost his wallet. The French blamed it on the usual suspects and rounded up a few individuals who were not even in that area during the time of the incident.

Of course, neither President Trump nor the CIA agents accompanying him believe the explanation given by the French authorities. And a CIA spokesperson claims that the CIA has in its possession at least one video clip that shows Mrs. Macron rubbing herself against President Trump and moments later President Trump starts shouting “The French robbed us blind, again.” “The French robbed us blind, again.” “The French robbed us blind, again.”

Things were getting pretty ugly when several of President’s aides who were present at the scene decided the president should be taken back to his hotel.

At the hotel, before heading to his room, President Trump held a press conference in which he repeated the same accusations adding the person who “stole” his wallet must’ve known it was a birthday gift from The First Lady. When asked if he was implying Mrs. Macron had stolen his wallet. He replied, “I’m not accusing anyone of any wrongdoing. All I’m saying is that it was some kind of female jealousy. Now, some of you are going to accuse me of being prejudiced against women. I am not. You can ask The First Lady.”

Meanwhile, The First Lady, shaken and embarrassed, has refused to hold President Trump’s hand.

Indeed! My ending was different, though. The wallet was found at an ice cream parlor where Trump got his ice cream to go, but forgot his wallet on the counter. It was delivered to the hotel by the French secret service agents along with the $50 tip he had left on the counter and a note that said, “Our First Lady is not a pickpocket.”
