Never thought FBI could do a full investigation in seven days... Only in Washington...
How come Christine Blasey Ford can not remember what Brett Kavanaugh was wearing at the time of alleged incident?
Antsy,
This is a he said, she said case with no evidence and FBI’s job is limited to info collecting.
That said, Kavanaugh has been through FBI screenings 5 times already. Enough is enough.
A thorough FBI investigation can move it away from a mere he said, she said file... None of the five screenings in the past included sexual allegations; those screenings mean nothing in this matter... AND... those remarks he made yesterday in his testimony were loaded with partisan politics... the language he used went too close to right-wing conspiracy theorists. Frankly his truthfulness and independent mind is in question now...
One thing has to be remembered... this is not about the accuser... it's about the accused... It's about appointing a fitting judge... Let's just assume that FBI's investigation, whatever it means, will exonerate the nominee...but still... the way he conducted himself, the way he politicized the procedure(yes, the whole thing is, was, and will be about politics... but he had to stay above it... above and strong... not sobbing like a baby), the way he sided with his GOP backers, the mere fact that he mentioned of the Clintons, and Democrats, the rhetoric he used throughout the session disqualifies him as a judge in the highest court.
We are living in the age of the so-called, “financial capitalism,” where easy money is most desirable.
Again, she could’ve done this by talkibg to the FBI. But she chose to take the easiest path to overnight fame
Let’s not forget this happened in high school. However, if Kavanaugh is proven guilty, I wouldn’t want to see him as a Supreme Court Judge.
Here is what the Freudian couch potato in me said the other day.
We all have vivid memories of the past that we can swear they are absolute truth yet they are 100% fabricated in our deep sleep! Dimond & Silk had a good instinct suggesting the she was abused before. She also might have pre-disposed conditions that could be triggered by an event (she herself acknowledged that). This predisposition is far more important than the incidental event that actually triggers them. For all we know she could be in the same distressed situation by witnessing a cat being hit by a car.
But the elements of a nightmare [and her story has a nightmarish structure it doesn’t have a ‘before’ or ‘after’] do not come out of nowhere. I guess she, as a fifteen years old teenager, had a crush on Kavanaugh, the bon vivant popular guy in town, and she already had some teenage fantasies about him. That’s why Kavanaugh has a prominent role in her story. Something made her disillusioned about her crush. When she was asked what was the most painful feeling of that event, she replied ‘the laughter of them at my expense’. This is the disillusioning moment that the other guy had a role in it. In real life something to that nature had happened and both Kavanaugh and his friend had a part in it. It could have been an inconsiderate joke at her expense in a gathering or simply having too much fun together for Kavanaugh to pay attention she thought she deserved.
BTW Rachel Mitchell, the cross-examiner hired by the Republicans did an outstanding job. She is the only person who brought some decency and intelligence in this circus.
When she asked Kavanaugh whether he ever had a consensual relationship with the accuser, she knew exactly what she was doing and even the body language of Kavanaugh showed he was pleased with the quality of her work.
Very interesting. I also thought about the following part. Democrats or some lawyer must’ve been looking hard for someone to come out and accuse Kavanaugh of some crime, any crime, and they found their victim in her.
“I guess she, as a fifteen years old teenager, had a crush on Kavanaugh, the bon vivant popular guy in town, and she already had some teenage fantasies about him. That’s why Kavanaugh has a prominent role in her story.”
A drunk piece of garbage that should be thrown into jail for child molesting and attempted rape....
