North Korea cancels meeting with South Korea, threatens to ditch summit with US over military
WASHINGTON - United States President Donald Trump has cancelled his planned June 12 summit with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
In a signed letter addressed to Mr Kim, President Trump wrote: "Sadly, based on the tremendous anger and open hostility displayed in your most recent statement, I feel it is inappropriate, at this time, to have this long-planned meeting."
"Please let this letter serve to represent that the Singapore summit, for the good of both parties, but to the detriment of the world, will not take place," he wrote.
"This missed opportunity is truly a sad moment in history," he wrote. But importantly the letter also said: "Some day, I look very much forward to meeting you."
"If you change your mind having to do with this most important summit, please do not hesitate to call me or write."
“Analysts said this seemed to indicate the summit may not necessarily be off the table. Speaking minutes after the release of the letter, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told a Congressional hearing: "I am hopeful that we can continue to have conversations and have this back on track."

With all the stupidity that has come out of this US admin, I highly doubt that they are stupid enough to publicly state the Libya fiasco unless they had an ulterior motive.
I believe there has been some other issues and they used the Libya fiasco to create an excuse to get out of it. I think even the excuse brought up about “extraordinary anger” and comment about Ayatollah Pence even confirms this. It was only a couple of months ago that they were calling each other fat and short.

BTW, I’m sorry Trump won’t be receiving the Nobel Peace Prize. It would have been as bad a joke as Obama receiving it.

To be clear: Trump is a terrible negotiator. Whether it's North Korea, or China over trade, or Mexico over the wall, he's guided by impulse, does no preparation, is incapable of listening, and gives away the store in return for short-term ego gratification.
