Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on Wednesday laid out several conditions he said European states must meet in order for Tehran to stay in the 2015 nuclear deal after Washington's exit.

In a speech in Tehran, Khamenei said that continued purchases of Iranian crude oil and banking guarantees were top of Iran's stipulations for keeping the agreement on track. "Europe should fully guarantee Iran’s oil sales, Khamenei was quoted as saying by state-run Press TV. "In case Americans can damage our oil sales ... Europeans should make up for that and buy Iranian oil."

"The Europeans must submit a resolution against the US at the UN Security Council to protest" Trump's withdrawal, Khamenei reportedly added.

He demanded that the European powers -- Germany, France and the United Kingdom -- must swear off demanding new talks with Iran over its ballistic missile program and "regional activities" an idea already floated by French President Emmanuel Macron and others.
