Yes, this will be in the news for a day or two and then forgotten....until the next massacre. People can only hope that it doesn't happen to them or their loved ones. 

As long as we have politicians in the pockets of gun lobby, and not working for the good of people, this will persist. Oh, and the argument about the constitution and second amendment? Well, the frggin' bible was revised how many times? The 2nd amendment dates back over 200 years  -  time to revise to refelct the times we live in!

I am certain you already know this that the argument of second amendment is only used to push their agenda.  The supreme court has already ruled that there are limits to the 2^nd amendment (one cannot arm himself with a tank or bazooka) so why opposition to the background check at all gun sales, no fly list but can buy a gun.

The gun industry is the only industry that has been immune from lawsuits, that ought to say enough about our politician and who they serve.
