DK, What makes you think news of passing of some old and obscure monarch would bring objective and bewildering moments of deep thoughts to our good old commies and mosadeqies around here? These news make their adrenaline and testosterone shot up by a factor of 1/1000 at least! If you want these guys to feel really excited and energetic tell them about how their heros such as Khomeini, Kianourie, Mosadeq, Doktor Shariati, Gohesorkhi, Fidel Castro, et al were all part of the KGB and MI6 democratic movement aimed at improving human rights in Iran and around the world! They are addicted to this crap and it makes them high more than smoking a bag of alaff.....!

History can be cruel at times. He was at the wrong time and the wrong place. If Germans would have won the war he would have been kicked out the office. If Russians won the war (which they did) he was kciked out of the office.

Either way it does not seem like he really had much of chance to survive politicaly.
