IHRDC:

In the course of its research, the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center (IHRDC) curates a list of political prisoners and prisoners of conscience who are currently in prison. This information was originally compiled for IHRDC’s Unlock Iran project, and is updated on a monthly basis. It is important to note that due to the Iranian judiciary’s lack of transparency and the widespread fear of reporting arrests spread by the country’s security services among the families of such prisoners, it is possible that the list below is incomplete.

As of July 22, 2015, IHRDC estimates that there are 897 individuals imprisoned in Iran for the exercise of fundamental rights.
