Thanks for your input.
I think (not sure) that Ali sonboli's mother was German.
I think also that an 18 year boy born in Germany (and never been in Iran) would have more connection to the German culture rather than his Iranian culture.
I have also many family members in Germany, with many grown up children who are either born in Germany or have been raised there, including my own three nieces with whom I have more connection than others.
Actually, I have always noticed that the German education and social condition, has a more powerful influence on the immigrant's children, than in many other countries!
You can believe me.
It is not like in US where Iranians-Americans do not want to give up their traditional ways of living and thinking.
The German education at school, is so great and strict, that one have not other choice than letting go of the other beliefs and tradition.
This is of course, my own observation.
This young man, Ali Sonboli, from his photos and his kind smile, doesn't give us any hard perception of his personality.
What is important, is not to judge him from his photo or from his past medical file. What is in face VERY important, is that the police and the media, do not play with the people intelligence. They must give us the real facts and proof about any and all situation, like this.
We live in democratic countries, not in Iran.
Facts should be verified and show solid proofs.

Now, imagine if this kid went to Iran, let's say for a summer vacation, and invited a bunch of Basijis/Passdars into a Kababi for some free kabob and mowed them down like there was no tomorrow! Only then, he would be a hero! Wouldn't you say so?

The media's repeated statements about German gun control being one of the strictest in the world belie the history of gun control in Germany. Similar to Belgium strict gun control is a recent measure and unfortunately because of previous lax laws there are millions of guns in both countries.  The estimate of illicitly and legally held firearms in Germany is somewhere between 25 to 45 million! The secondary market is therefore huge.  

I see nothing has changed in Iroon and it is still rife with verbal diarrhoea of ill judged half baked commentary rushing to judgement.

Regarding the article above, it starts out ok, but quickly falls in the toilet through catering to the islamist agenda by blaming those who do not identify with islam as the culprit here.  The guy was a nut, OK? That's it.

to compare resistance to assimilation by islam to the acts of violence comitted by right wing nut jobs is a dispicable attempt to discredit those who want nothing to do with islam.

Thanks inspector for the link . Had he been Iranian teenager he would be having tons of moose in his hair and smoking pot somewhere hoping to get laid. The last thing on his mind would be guns and killing people. 

We cannot free Iran without eliminating wacky politics from our political discourse. Whether it's so called 'right' or 'left', we fall on its most extreme and marginal kind. This in itself is an interesting subject. But here I simply want to note that we cannot have 'marginal' political or social thinking as long as we don't have a 'mainstream' political and social discourse. I'm talking about the would be 'opposition' of-course. The reactionary thoughts do have a mainstream and they are ruling us.

But progressivists, as long as they don't have a 'mainstream', they cannot even be 'marginal'. There has to be a 'mainstream' based on which a 'marginal' can define itself as such!

One goes for fascism, the other one goes for anarchism and so on..., and regardless of our specific judgment on specific ideas, the main issue is the IRRELEVANCY, because we don't have a 'mainstream' to even contemplate to be 'marginal'. This is the major cause of our bewilderedness!

Has this terrorist been visiting Iran or Iran's embassy in Germany recently? As you know two agents of Islamic state of Iran were recently jailed in germany for their planned terrorist and spying activity on Iranian dissidents there.

Maybe those readers such as "Suri" who are close to islamist state of Iran could comment on this.
