How can one repair the damage and devestation IRI has inflicted upon Iran? How many decades would it take to restore the status and glory Iran enjoyed prior to 1979? How many corrections of the inappropriate use of the phrase "Persian Gulf" by organizations/corporations (e.g., US Navy, Google, Yahoo,....) can be made before myriad of  deliberate ones continue to be made? This is like a Whac-A-Mole game.....no end in sight!

Having said that, I am not sure if I would ever want to go on a cruise to that place whether it's called Persain Gulf or Arabian Gulf! Besides the fact that it is in a dangerous part of the world - and correct me if I am wrong - it has some of the nastiest climates in the world if I am not mistaken  - Hazy, Hot, and Humid (H-Cubed!) Maybe in the winter time it is more pleasant!?

Does this issue, or rather should this issue have any bearings on our collective identity and other main issues? let them call it whatever they want. Nothing more than a political game. They will stop playing it when they are tired and bored.

From sicily to Iran Where ever arab armies went they renamed everything into arabic .The whole frkin mOOslim-IRan culture & language is arabized to the bone &  royal caribean is simply naming it for what it is . A body of water between arab nations to the south & pseudo_arab nation to the north . The only thing realy separating the two is that the authentic arabs in the south dont consider their northern cultural serfs as full fledged arabs yet . guess they are waiting for the last few seyyed nation to complete the namesakes to the majority hesaam, hesham yasser hanifeh and samiyeh to be enetered into arab hall of shame .  . Ironic that even the name caribean is root word of arabic word "Gharib" (Bahr al Gharib) = careab sea . fk em all . lost cause.

It has nothing to do with Iranian Nationalism  and everything to do with making a stand against Arab Nationalism.  The resurrected 9/11 debate should be a reminder....

Thank you all for the comments. Sorry I haven't been able to respond to everyone. I have had very sporadic access to the internet recently as I have been outof the office (and home), and pretty much sepnding my time out in the woods. I think I left one comment on the site a few days ago. I was planning on resopnding to every single comment here individually, but I just don't have the time as I have to use the very limited office time for many things. For that, I'm sorry.

Very quickly though, on the issue of the dangers in the Persian Gulf, I wouldn't really sail there. With all the military presence there by everyone and their "ammeh" in that tight space, you never know if trigger happy lunatic will fire a missile at your ship, or you hit a mine, or you get stopped, boarded and taken hostage by the IRGC for straying into Iranian water...and then there's the weather. Although looking at the site it looks like they only do those cruises in December. Makes sense.

And yes. This is all about Arab nationalism, which started with Abdelnasser, and has been adhered to by all other Arab nations, inluding IR's payroll friends like Syria and Hamas. Really, if you can't stand the historical name of a body of water--especially when you have two other ones named after you, the Arab Sea and the Sea of Oman--you are a racist.
