25th of January marked the 70th anniversary of Liberation of Auscvitz concentration camp by the Red Army of Soviet Union.

More that 1.1 million people. Mostly Jews , were murdered by Nazis between 1940 and 1945, when the camp was liberated by the Soviet Red Army.

Some  300 survivors from across the world returned for a ceremony commemorating the event. Given the age of the survivors, this is expected to be the last of such event.

World only begin to learn of horrors of Auschwitz after pictures and films begin to be released to the Public.

Anger, sadness and shame was the reaction of humanity to this heinous crime. Never Again! People around the world said Never Again we’ll allow this to happen. For people to be systematically murdered for their race, religion or political beliefs….

Sadly, 70 years on, looking at the world around us, we see the failure of humanity to keep to that promise.

In Syria alone, hundreds of thousands of civilians are murdered in a conflict between warring factions who  have absolutely no regards for the lives of human beings. In Syria the descendents of very same heroic soviet troops who liberated the Auschwitz camp are busy murdering unarmed mothers and their children by dropping bombs on their heads from high above, under the pretext of “war against terrorism”

Surely it is time for the entire world to wake up and see these criminal acts for what they are. Crimes no less heinous than those of  Auschwitz.

Time for the good and Peace loving  people around the world to wake up to the fact that there  are alternatives to an economic  system governed by greed, fear and apathy. An economic system  energized by war, militarism, racism  and hatred.

Time to say: NEVER AGAIN.
