Got up early this morning and browsing news over a cup of coffee only to see this. As millions of images of death and attrocities from Iran to Syria and Sierra Leon to Congo and Sudan has made us numb and indifferent, it is hard to avoid the stark reality that Humanity is on a fast slope of decline. I took a look at my son and am having a hard time holding my tears and fear of a grim future back. As much as most of us are far better off than anything like these refugees would have to deal with, decency of some people ( http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/sep/01/icelanders-call-on-government-to-take-in-more-syrian-refugees ) and despite relative assurances of a decent material future for those of us in better parts of the world; the world our children will inherit seems increasingly inhuman and bleak.

There is plenty of blame to go around and plenty of reasons. From Iran to U.S. and China to SA and Israel to name a few; and religion, economy, and most of all greed. We all have a part in this and right now past all that.
This is appropriate time to grieve and reflect on our individual responsibility and helping anyway we can.However little that may be.

Yes Obama is bush light and this is ME getting rearranged for a slew of reasons and the scumlike IRI have won. Most of the world has been watching and looking away as tragedy after tragedy unfolds because everyone has bigger fish to fry and there is little profit in helping war torn refugees.
I feel your anger. Yet, I'm referring to reflection for humanity and the world as it morphs; like reflecting on life of a dying friend. This is humanity's death knell.

May their tragedy serves as an inspiration for the Middle Eastern people to reject violence and religious extremism, and embrace tolerance and inclusion.
I put picture of 2 LIVING children here. We've see enough dead pix going viral as a hobby on social and main media. Until yesterday these were living, breathing, generally happy children like yours and mine; and happy despite their circumstance because they are just too young to know any better. The life getting sucked is not just theirs. It is humanitty's.

we need to be asking some basic questions such as why Obama refused to order an attack on beshar Assad when he used chemical gas on syrian civilians because he "wanted congress aproval!!", whereas he is now helping and enabling Iran's terrorist ayataollahs, the primary arm and finance supplier to assad despite "congress disapproval!!"!!

We have many failed and failing states now and moving toward a failing civilization. Boom/bust cycle has become global and not sustainable. Nuke deal is another failure for a world that has created instabilities in so many places in accomodation of 'stability' and 'economic growth'; and chickens are coming home to roost. The nuke deal if anything shows American weakness and its desperation to salvage what it can at any cost to remain relevant in that part of the world. Iranians are dancing in the streets and failure of IRI is announced by many while IRI effectively gets renewed life and vigor.
As we speak Moslem nations are watching and do nothing along with China, Russia and the rest. It is a high stakes poker game and refugees are not even chips in that game. Talk of creating "Refugia" in Libya has been floated. What we are witnessing is the proverbial Canary in the mine shaft. There are no good guys.
Ignoring the human aspect and failing to take what little step we can, makes us bystanders too.
