Former President George W. Bush said the United States must show that it can follow through on its promises, and argued against the lifting of sanctions against Iran during rare remarks about foreign policy.
Bush noted that Iran has a new president, Hassan Rouhani. “He's smooth," Bush said. "And you’ve got to ask yourself, is there a new policy or did they just change the spokesman?”
Bush said that Obama’s plan to lift sanctions on Iran with a promise that they could snap back in place at any time was not plausible. He also said the deal would be bad for American national security in the long term: “You think the Middle East is chaotic now? Imagine what it looks like for our grandchildren. That’s how Americans should view the deal.”
Above is from comments, as attendees recollected, which former President Bush made this past Saturday in a meeting with hundreds of Jewish donors gathered in Las Vegas.
For the past six plus years the advocates of the Islamist fascists –“reformers” and all- like NIAC lobby, the usual useful idiots, who are fortified with Obama-infatuated, have been using Bush as the whipping boy for the disastrous Obama apologetic foreign policy.
For two reasons I think Bush should zip it.
1- His injudicious use of American power and all the misery it has entailed.
2- The fresh impetus he gives the lovelies to redirect the spotlight from Obama’s failures, including his piece de resistance Chamberlainesque private nuke deal with the Islamist fascist Führer, back to Bush’s disasters.
Sanction works, U.S. Senate, get to it.
Somewhere in Texas, a village was missing an idiot, and now he is back!
Add him to Obama’s “Bucket List!”
Here is a quote from another village idiot:
"If you take out Saddam’s regime, I guarantee you that it will have enormous positive reverberations on the region." - BiBi Netanyahu supporting his NeoCon buddies on Iraqi invasion.
There's no doubt that only remedy is a "capable" Republican president. No doubt, indeed.
With the trail of debris and destruction he left behind, "injudicious use" is only a euphemism. Though, I want him back for 2 reasons:
1 - His idiocy will ensure the WH will not see another Bush, and perhaps another republican for 2016,
2 - The barrage of late night comedies especially Jon Stewart and Bill Mahr will once again be enleashed. I just can't wait for the laugh.
I miss you GW!
Fred,
You are really starting to go off the reservation. Bush light is screwing Iran in ways more obvious thatn Bush but the jist of it is the same. Supposting (missing) nut jobs in hope of somehow helping Iran by returning their ilk. With friends like you Iran needs no enemies.
way back when GWB attacked saddam I was still living in Iran. I rmemeber that we the people were all happy and excited hoping for him to send a few misiles up mullahs palaces, air exclusion zones and stuff like that so we could take care of the rest . Mullahs were in absolute panic as they noticed this guy meant beeeezness and knew what we the people were thinking!! Trita joon parsi used to wake up in middle of night screaming having nightmnares that he would not get his next pay check from his mullah sugar daddies!!!
But that's a long time ago. Now I've been living in US for a long time and have been educated to learn that the only way to get rid of Warmongering, Nuke loving Islamo-Nazi mullahs is by smothering them with hugs, kisses and cash gifts of billions of Dollars! Now if in the mean time Trita khoshgeleh, Said ja-kesh and comical mamamd divooneh get rich, so what? who cares? noosh jooneshoon!!!
So yes, I agree with Faramarz!
