Like other tyrannies, Journalism in Iran is one of those jobs which are fraught with danger.
The journalist has to be either a total sellout to the regime, or, walk on eggshells all the time risking persecution and prosecution for reporting a fact incompatible with what is acceptable by the establishment.
Worst yet, the true ethical journalists have to continuously grapple with a crisis of professional conscience.
The latest case is Amir Hossein Motaqi, editor of Iran’s ISKA news agency, who defected and asked for asylum while in Switzerland to cover the Obama nuke deal with the Islamist fascists –“reformers” and all.
And he is no regular journalist; he is an insider, who “campaigned for President Hassan Rohani.”
Here is what he told Golnaz Esfandiari from Radio Liberty about his defection:
“"Officials from the Foreign Ministry demanded that we cover the news they wanted -- news that was not true -- or not to cover news that they didn’t want to be published,"
Sanction works, U.S. Senate, get to it.

It shows that there remains still tiny traces of humanity and decency, what we call in farsi "sharaf" even in "regime insiders"
Now what kind of animals , what kind of "bi-sharafs" the west residing islamist regime cronies like that Trita parsi and his gang of bi-sharafs at NIAC are, is just beyond any decent human being's comprehension.
