Wow!
Besides unity for aash, it seems that there are a lot of folks who have nothing better to do than to wait in line.
That's because waiting in line for Aash has "savab."
Seriously, that's why nothing ever gets done in Muslim countries. First, you have to interrupt your work five times a day to do "vozoo" and "namaz" (about 45 min. to one hour each time), then your work / school is closed every other day for the birt / death of some dead Arab guy (about 50-100 days a year in Iran)....how can you get anything done?
Dear AO, while I definitely agree with your general sentiments, don't Iranian Shiites actually do "namaz" 3 times daily, not 5? A minor detail, of course.
It is not only Iranian Shia's, but it is true for all Muslims worldwide. A few days ago, an stampede occurred while traditional food was being handed out to people attending an event that resulted in 14 Muslims killed, including 6 children.

One thing I ask is what kind of god requires so much attention and prasie that one has to bow to him/her/it 5 times a day?
Also, the only country that practically shuts down during prayers is Saudi Freaking Arabia.
It literraly disrupts everything and you really need to schedule your activities (of which there are very little) around the prayer time.
Is prayer it really 3 time and not 5 times in Iran? I will try to find out.

AGHA FARMOODand:)
Please raise a loud salavat:))
And i seriously think we should rename this site to Kafars/Infidels.com:)))
When our dear leader expressed outrage against the evil powers of the world, this is what he was getting at. We are not a people who would surrender, because we are god damn busy standing in lines for crappy shi...!
I'm not quite sure about the 3 vs. 5 times up and down thing. Didn't Khomeini issue a Fatwa saying that Shias should also do 5 times a day? Doing three times is worse kind of. Because it takes longer to combine the two prayers right in the middle of the working hours. :-)
You can't look at this picture and not feel sorry for the Great Reza shah and his son for wasting their lives trying to bring modernity to a nation that just wanted trip to Karbela and free Ash nazri!
MRX
well put my friend.
Some people just don't deserve SHieeet:)
AO jaan; post-Omari Iran is a house built on a toxic waste dump & being fixated on a few minor addictions of ommah wont change her fate. Pahlavis in their naive approach knowing nothing can be done with the waste dump tried to atleast beautify & perfumify the house built on $hit itself but ultimately & obviously failed to no avail . Now after 30 yrs of raghead rule the house is not only built on $hit but full of $hit and I dont mean diarrhea mild kinda $hit but 5day-constipation crap.
So to add to your topic I believe what unites us all is ;
the eternal addiction to stench of this crap day in & day out until the day we finally decide to drain the $hit out & dump it all in Ghom.
Cheers & happy NY bro!!!
Samsam bro--do you really think that Pirooz Nahavandi knew what (or rather whom) he was dying for when he pulled that dagger out? I doubt it...
Happy New Year my friend!
Sam jaan, it isn't just 30 years, it goes back at least 500 years. It's collective shit and drainig this much shit is a shitload of work.....!
No shit!
