It's 2019 and while Blade Runner cops arent running around hunting replicants, the world nevertheless plunges forward into the future with startling advancements by the dozen. Soon ("within 10 years") we won't even have smatrtphones, thanks to innovations like this. (just think of the implications: a 3-D gigantic hologram of your madarzan/madar shohar in the middle of the living room!)
So what does Iran have to show for, after this costly revolution in its 40th anniversary? Let's itemize:

The downward spiral of Iran's economy on almost every possible metric. No really, what does Iran have to show for in its industrial list of achievements? Exporting Samand and Pride (aka Ford Festiva) cars??! A lousy extended warranty program for the Northrop F-5?

And these are just to name a few. We've all grown used to reading negative news from Iran on a daily basis. People are eating dog meat now? Hmm. If youre hungry and have nothing to eat, it's actually halal. One third of Iran is under the line of poverty? It's the evil American sanctions, you moron! Moving on. People are now just animals with no sense of morality or dignity? Salavaat befrest baba, dorost misheh. (for those of you who dont understand what theyre shouting in the clip, the protesters are saying: "Hey ass-torn official, I wanna fuck your sister!" Real classy, don't you agree?)
Let me just say this: For those of you who dont remember, right after Khomeini overthrew the Shah, he said: "not only will we make electricity and water utility and public transportation free for you, but we will build your morality!". And people were like "OMG ...OMG...TAKBEER!...." Forty years later, this is our moral legacy.
So now please tell me:
How the fuck am I supposed to not feel negative about the mighty fall of a once proud country from top of ezzat to bottom of zellat in just 40 years?? Yes I am angry and negative and pissed off. And if youre not too, then youre part of the problem.

You stated obvious facts that we all know. How about a solution knowing the complexity of Iranian society? what can we do now? what should we do now? what did we learn to avoid making the same mistakes again? where can we go from here?
Yes, we’ve seen all this before, and yet it’s the 40th anniversary. So clearly some ppl are closing their eyes and ears to reality that causes the regime to live on.
Ok. Here are some starting points :
1. Enforce the illegality of dual citizenship. So, the the next time there is an election, if you see your local masjed or some ppl operating a voting station for IRI, report their sorry asses to the fbi. And for those inside Iran, don’t fucking vote! Stop treating it as the choice between bad and badtar. Treat it as a referendum of the regime.
2. Hit the IRI where it hurts: directly attack khamenei. Don’t say « marg bar dictator », say « marg bar khamenei ». Why do ppl have taarof? The velayat faghih is the core problem. The head of the snake. The tumor of the cancer.
3. Put a travel ban for US citizens to Iran, like we used to have for Cuba. Each time ppl visit Iran for a trip of chelo kabab and deed o bazdeed updates, they are effectively supporting the status quo.
4. Support the sanctions! The next time someone says ppl are destitute and badbakht because of sanctions, educate them! The sanctions should be doubled! Close all European airports to all Iran traffic. Ban all Iranian teams from all international sports venues and competitions. Ban their scientific publications. Treat Iran like we do North Korea. If Iran wants to be a pariah state, then treat it like one.
5. Ban these appeaser pro IRI lobby groups like niac. They never represented Iranian-American interests anyway.
6. Deport all Iranians in America with family ties to Iranian politicians and mullas out.
7. Make sure the Europeans are on board with all this. Otherwise, start enforcing the the Huwaei treatment onto them as well.
Once Iran is banned from the World Cup for treating women like shit, and once they are banned from all sporting competitions for stupid shit like this, then we will see how they will fall to goh khordan.
And here’s one better: not just deport the fak o famil of the mullahs in America, but arrest them and send their asses to Guantanamo. Take hostages from the fak o famil, and call them spies. Give them the same treatment they’ve been giving ppl visiting Iran. (Just like China is doing to Canada).
Well at least your coming up with some ideas so I give you credit , granted some of them may not be quite as workable or produce results:
#1 I much doubt majority of ex-pats vote (Yes there are slimy famous people out there who show up at IRI consultates for voting but far too few, so no factor really)
#2 I think its a wrong startegy, because all it means is islamic republic is good and Khameni is the only problem,so remove the guy and everything will be dandy. I bleive focuse should be removeall of the regime and replace it with something grand. (Of course assuming you have a viable kick ass charesmatic person, who is willing to take over and run the show or else all bets are off@!)
#3 Will have no impact on survivial or demise of this regime.
#4 is in place at full scale. Time will tell if it has any serious affect on the regime. For now the only thing its doing is pushing what is left of middle class into poverty.
#5 Niac and organizations like that are overrated. much doubt any one in upper decision making entities in U.S government knows or care about these organizations.
#6 I personaly like this one, but courts will fight it.
#7 Europeans are on board so that is not an issue.
I believe untill a real kick ass hero with charisma shows up somehow, I am afraid this will go on.
