Israel Claims Iran Has Recruited 80,000 Shi'a Fighters in Syria: The Israeli ambassador to the UN, Danny Danon, told the UN Security Council April 26 that Iran has recruited 80,000 Shi'a fighters in Syria to "commit acts of terror" in the country and throughout the region. Danon also alleged that these fighters have been receiving training at a military facility outside Damascus. Iranian officials have not commented on Danon's statements.
Analysis: The Israeli ambassador's assertions regarding Iran and its activities in Syria transpire amid rising geopolitical tensions between Tel Aviv and Tehran. Tel Aviv is highly concerned about Iran's regional ambitions and strategic objectives in Syria. Iran has committed billions of dollars in support of President Bashar al-Assad in Syria. Iran has actively recruited Arab, Afghan, and Pakistani Shi'a to fight against the Syrian regime's enemies and to establish a permanent base in Syria. This is a development that the Israeli leaders have already announced they would not tolerate. Despite this, neither Iran nor Israel is at a point where it will enter a direct conflict with the other.
Well first of all one has to question a source of this news and see the evidence of it. Much of politics today is nothing but lies and propaganda to fit the agenda.
Now let say its all true and Iranian regime recruited all these people (80000 of them) to go to Syria and fight Assad's enemies. Then I say for once the regime in Iran did some thing righ!. Enemies of Assad at this juncture are nothing but Wahabi Extermist thugs in a form of ISIS and Al-Nusra front who have openly proclaimed that if they come to power they establish islamic republic wahabi style and exterminate shia's and others. Ok I know no body in this web site cares about Syrian people and that is fine, but if they succeeded in Syria and Iraq then the war front by now would have been in Iran and or on Iranian border.
I said before and say it again, regimes will come and go but interest of our country should not be sacrifiesed even if we don't like the current regime.
