I don’t know who this character you’re referring to is, but I know all the past pigeonholing about me has eventually disappointed the persons doing it.

BTW, this blog is about the dire circumstances of 800,000 immigrants in America, it would appropriate for other immigrants to chime in.

The question is whether or not DACA is constitutional! I would defer the answer to that question to legal experts and constitutional scholars!!! As a legal immigrant myself, I arrived to America with a proper visa stamped in a proper passport issued at a proper US embassy in a proper country called Iran back in 1976!!! If you have come to the US illegally then you ought to be subjected to the law of the land which is the constitution and every other law the Congress has put in place!!!

I agree with you, laws have to be observed. The moral/ethical question is these children did not break the law, but are burdened with the consequences of what their parents did.

That is why I used the children of "illegal" Afghan refugees in Iran to compare it with these 800,000 refugees in America. 

This is a mean action by Trump and as you said on a par with shameful behaviour of Islamist regime of Iran towards Afghan immigrants.

A kid from Honduras is taken to the US by his mother, at the age of 5. He is in college studying law. He sounds as American as most intelligent Americans sound. He has a an enviable resume, already. Should he be sent back to Hondrus because his mother broke the law? 

Let's hope logic prevails and each case is studied carefully before any deportation takes place. Understanding the process, this may take years. 

No One is in an imminent danger of facing a deportation proceeding or detention. That is why the 6 Month delay was proposed.

Immigration laws in this country have never been clear cut and there has always been an element of confusion or lack of clear understanding on the part of those who administer these laws.

Brought into this country By force or not, They are all passed the legal age at which they could  make their mind up and Decide whether they want to  stay here or not.

An 'immigrant' is defined as someone who has been admitted LEGALLY to reside permanently in a country.  Referring to foreigners here illegally as 'immigrants' doesn't change their status to such!

Doctor41: I just stated the terminology as quite often when the terminology is changed to suit a group then confusion ensues.    The media is lumping together immigrants, i.e. 'green card holders' with foreigners here illegally and that doesn't make any sense. 
Obviously those who contribute to the society are better suited to the progress and the function of the society, except for the wealthy retirees who can bring over considerable amount of wealth and spend such here without taking any from the society at large.

We also have to bear in mind that regardless of how we 'feel,' the laws continue to be the laws until they are changed by the legislators.
