If the amount of attention by mass and social media is any measure of importance and value, then there are many Iranians who are literally unimportant, valueless and disposable.

Defending a political prisoner, regardless of his/her background, is a must; however, discrimination must not and cannot be tolerated.

Case in point, the overwhelming amount of  media attention to the ONE day hunger strike by an old guard Islamist fascist, who in fight for power with his comrades got the short end of the stick, and almost no coverage of weeks, at times months, of hunger strikes by Iranian political prisoners.

Tyrannies bank on this sort of discrimination, for the good of all, by caring equally for all of their victims, they must be disappointed.

Airtight sanctions, a la against the despicable South Africa apartheid, works. U.S. lawmakers get to it.

Picture above; on the operating table to replace his pacemaker, the one day hunger striker Ayatollah Karoubi, who is in his sixth year of house arrest.

Suffering in almost total lack of media attention, there are loads and loads of Iranian political prisoners suffering from debilitating health conditions, who are denied even the most rudimentary treatment.
